COVID-19 created unprecedented challenges for project organisations and a loss of opportunities for recent graduates seeking project experience. The Virtual Internship Scheme was designed to bring together project organisations in need of resource and recent graduates looking to gain short-term experience in a project management role. This initiative was
one response to the crisis that has potential for the project profession in the longer term.
Benefits to the project organisation and the interns have been accrued and useful learning has been uncovered from a review of the pilot. This event will share experiences and aims to pave the way for establishing a permanent scheme.
