Transforming the Net Zero Landscape through the Power of Projects Conference. 19th-20th October 2021

19-10-2021 10:30 am - 20-10-2021 4:30 pm
Free

The two-day conference will take place in Hopin, an all-in-one virtual event platform where attendees can learn, interact, and connect with people from anywhere in the world.

Our ‘Leaders in their field’ speaker line-up will provide thought-provoking interactive presentations from the main stage.

These will be augmented by case studies and good practice sessions to showcase existing and future initiatives and expose participants to new ways to get involved and ‘give-back.’ Crucially, the sessions will demonstrate to project managers and their organisations, the part that they must play in the ‘delivery’ of the projects necessary to combat climate change.

We will build in plenty of time and space for delegates to network, make connections and learn from each other. Hopin, is designed to 1:1-match delegates, for lively conversation and serendipitous ‘ah-ha moments;’ and supports impromptu meetings with friends and colleagues.

Delegates will be able to ‘walk-around’ the Learning Zone to visit booths that interest them, to learn more and interact with exhibitors and companies, to explore opportunities, forge relationships and get stuck-in.

PMI UK Chapter International Project Management Day Webinar: The Indispensable Project Manager. 4th November 2021

04-11-2021 12:00 pm -1:00 pm
Free

The project manager must develop skills and competencies in several areas to be considered for an assign. In addition there are 4 major factors a project manager must address and continue to develop:

  • Accomplishability: your ability to achieve and deliver valued results.
  • Value/cost: the value delivered perception relative to the cost.
  • Supply/Demand: the market dynamics of your position, skills, etc.
  • Likeability: how others perceive you.

This presentation addresses the importance of the professional project manager in today’s business environment and the need for the project manager to continually enhance existing skills, adapt to a changing environment, and become a “go to” person in the organization.  Emphasis is placed on understanding the business needs of an organization, clearly and visibly creating value from a client and supplier view point, and continually developing and managing personal brand.
