The Art of Compassionate Business

16th July 2020 at 6.15 pm

University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS

Main Speaker: Dr. Bruno Cignacco

There are several well-ingrained assumptions regarding the dynamics of work and business activities, which can be refuted. Some examples of these widespread assumptions are: employees being viewed as commodities, competitors perceived as threats, companies’ resources being seen as limited, and customers perceived as scarce and difficult, etc. All of which leads to the question: "Is there a way to perform business activities more humanely?"

By the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the different connotations of love and its relationship with business activities
  • Comprehend different ways to adopt a loving attitude to internal and external stakeholders
  • Reflect on different examples of real companies with a loving attitude toward their stakeholders
