Meet the PMI UK Chapter Board of Directors

Ciaran is a programme manager with extensive experience in the delivery of large, complex programmes across a range of industry sectors. Ciaran has been an active volunteer holding a number of roles including Vice President and Commercial Director in which he focused on national events including Synergy and Awards. He champions professional development, mentoring and building effective networks.

Chris is an experienced project, programme and PMO professional with a wealth of experience and passion for results. He has been an active volunteer with the Chapter for almost twenty years, he lives in Yorkshire and is married with two lovely kids.

Franco is an Engineer whose career in the Oil and Gas Sector has transitioned from design engineering to Project Management. From Project Engineer to Project Manager and eventually Managing Director of a major international engineering and construction company. Franco has founded the PMI Rome Italy Chapter and served it for several years as its President.

Nigel is an experienced project professional who started his career as a qualified engineer in the automotive industry, before moving into the wider world of IT and software implementation. He’s a long-standing member of Toastmasters International and he hosts and delivers PMI UK webinars. As Director of Volunteering, Nigel’s aim is to enrich the volunteer experience for the greater good of the PMI UK members.

Henry is an experienced project manager specialising in the delivery of complex global projects within the financial services sector. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, and Agile Project Management Practitioner focussed on leading successful projects. As Commercial Director, Henry leads commercial sponsorship and partnership initiatives.

Rashad is a senior business Leader, strategy specialist and an operational quality, governance & assurance expert. He guides the development and delivery of robust operational strategies for ambitious, growing businesses. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute and sits on the Board of Trustees. He is also passionate about history and regularly volunteers for the Historic Royal Palaces.

Alla has more than eight years of project management, PMO and executive experience and worked closely with PMI for more than seven years. In her day to day life, Alla is the CEO of Training Environment, a company that specialises in tailored databases and sales for global organisations, social media, software development, and training services.

Joanna is passionate about Technology, Digital Transformation and Strategy as enablers for successful businesses. She operates globally in the technology and telco markets, and her teams have received global awards for outstanding technical achievement. Joanna has held board positions with PMI UK (and others) for ten years.

Emma-Ruth Arnaz-Pemberton is a PMO, PPM specialist with extensive experience in the change management industry and a particular focus on collaboration. She is involved extensively with a number of organisations; notably the ResponsiblePM.Org, Project Management Without Borders, Project Managers Against Poverty, and PM4Change.

Dan has been working for NHS Digital as a Junior Delivery Manager for the past four years. He has been volunteering with the PMI UK Chapter for five years and he was awarded volunteer of the year in 2019. It was through managing the chapter's recent website refresh project that Dan developed an interest in contributing more to the technology side of the chapter.

Rachel Wong
Director of Academic Outreach

Merv specialises in the design and delivery of high value online meetings and events. He has led PMI UK Digital Events team over the last two years, and now seeks to capitalise on this experience in his role as Director of Branches. Merv has twenty-plus years’ experience in business change, programme management and benefits-led portfolio management. He is the UK delivery partner of Amplify™ strategy execution software.
