PMI UK - Volunteers
The PMI UK relies on volunteers to carry out many of its activities. The PMI UK Support Office keeps a list of names and contact information for people who have volunteered either by approaching us direct, personal contact or by filling in the volunteer section on an Event Evaluation Form.
When a need for a volunteer arises an email describing the position/requirements is sent to everyone on the list and replies are collated. The successful applications will be contacted to confirm their appointment.
The appointment of volunteers who are in roles that earn PDUs will be confirmed at a PMI UK Board meeting.
These volunteers are required to sign the PMI UK Chapter Code of Conduct unless they are a PMP.

Events Programmes Committee
Due to the expansion of our Programmes Committees, we are now looking for a number of volunteers to help in the London, South, Midlands & North & Scottish Regions. Helping to organise our regional events is very rewarding in experience gained and networks gained and we have fun!!
You should be in a position where you are willing to contribute time and effort each month in order for the events to be run efficiently, generally a few hours per month. Volunteering in this way does also give PDU credits for PMPs.
NEW FOR 2008:-
One lucky volunteer each year will be selected to receive an expenses paid trip to the EMEA PMI Leadership Conference which this year is being held in Malta in May over 3 days.

IPM Day 2009
Project Manager
Following the success of the International Project Management Day in November each year and in order to get continuity from one year to the next, we are now looking to find a Volunteer willing to take on the role of the 2009 Project Manager. You should ideally have a PMP certification, have been involved in Project Management for a number of years and be willing to contribute time in order for the event to be carried forward. Involvement would commence around September 2008 with this year’s team to achieve knowledge transfer prior to handover in December
