Get
to rely on your people Are you trying to make
sense of ‘soft skills’? Here’s the missing link.
Have you ever asked people, close to an
ailing project, why it is evidently going down hill? The
answer will often refer to a leader group that has been
unable to achieve the progress that people are
expecting. And when you enquire about another project, a
successful one this time, the focus is likely to be the
same. They tell you about another leader group; one that
is cohesive, loyal, energetic, informed, focused and
working close; as one. by Martin

the Innovation Potato' - raising the stakes for
innovation
As we enter an upswing in the economic
cycle, innovation has become very much the word of the
moment. Managers are under pressure to deliver
innovation as a route to growth, with IT technology
often a primary catalyst. In this respect, sponsors’
expectations of IT and other project and programme
managers is now high... by Alastair

Putting
the People, Passion and Pragmatism back into Project
Management
Why are so many people so lukewarm
about projects? Project management can seem very dry and
technical. For many, it’s all about the charts, the
equations, the budgets, the reports. The people and the
passion can so easily get lost along the way. by
