
The PMI UK Chapter will be holding the fifth International Project Management (IPM) Day Conference on Thursday, 4th November 2010. The theme is:
"COMPLEX PROJECTS - ELEGANT SOLUTIONS" The conference will look at the main types and causes of project complexity, and project management theories and practice aimed at addressing them. It will seek to answer the question "is project complexity increasing?" by looking at case studies of complex projects, as well as highlighting tools and techniques for project managers
Who should attend?
If you are passionate about Program and Project management, this is for you. Regardless of which sector or industry you work in BOOK NOW and don't forget you are eligible for 5.5 PDUs for joining us. The Conference will also be an excellent opportunity for networking, making contact with other professionals and organisations.

The Conference will open at 9am, with a welcome from Chris Field, President of PMI UK, and will close at 5pm. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided by the Conference host, Microsoft.
The Conference will be divided into four sessions. The first three sessions will be each be Chaired by a moderator. There will be at least three speakers in each session, coming from a range of difference backgrounds. After the speakers’ presentations, there will be a panel discussion that will include “live” questions from the audience.

We have now opened registration for the conference. BOOK NOW as we only have 200 places available. First preference will be given to PMI UK Members. The conference fees are as follows:
The refundable deposits will be returned to all who attend the Conference. However, this year we will be asking all attendees if they would like to donate £10 from their refundable deposit towards the overseas work of the British Red Cross (BRC). We plan to present the donation on the day of the Conference, to Pete Garratt (BRC Disaster Response Manager), who will be one of our speakers.
Our venue this year is: Microsoft Campus, Thames Valley Park, Reading, RG6 1WG.
