Developing an enterprise-wide project management capability is serious business, one that has the potential for significant return on investment (ROI). The first step is to identify the competencies required to execute the organisation's projects and then develop assessment mechanisms followed by interventions and a development roadmap to build and enhance those competencies. Sounds simple doesn't it? Yet, to do this correctly requires the formation of a cross-functional team of experts, backed by unwavering executive's commitment, to effect such cross-cutting change within an organisation. The effort does not simply result in a "training programme"; rather, it results in the implementation and execution of a major performance improvement initiative that will produce a "force multiplier" effect greatly increasing the execution prowess of the organisation as a whole. This presentation will also include the ROI results of some of ESI's existing clients who have attained successful results while mapping their PM competencies with their organisation.
