Web site update

The web site has now been live for almost two months, there have been a few teething problems, but we look to have cured most of those now. One of the main concerns was the event booking process which was requiring duplicate data entry and had too many screens. This should now be much simpler and if you want a little tip, for PMI UK members wanting to book an event, log in to the site first and most of the fields will auto-fill for you.
Some of you have contacted communications@pmi.org.uk saying you were PMI UK Chapter members but you hadn’t received your password this could be for two reasons.
- The e-mail address we use will be whatever your preferred option is for the details you provided for the PMI Global web site, please check this is correct. Each month the PMI UK Chapter member details are uploaded to the web site using the download provided by PMI Global.
- If you have only recently joined the PMI UK Chapter there may be a few weeks delay until you receive your PMI UK Chapter password because of the monthly upload process.
There are currently about 50 PMI UK members with invalid e-mail addresses judging by the undeliverable messages that are returned to the communications in-box. Please could you ensure your details are correct on the PMI Global web site. If your ID is correct, it is a work ID and you still haven't received anything, please contact your e-mail administrator to see if mail from the PMI UK web site is blocked.
If you haven’t explored the members area yet, please take a look, there are two bookstores offering discounted prices, and we hope to get a third soon. There is also the members forum if you wanted to ask a question or start a discussion.
The web site is run for your benefit, please let us know what else you may find useful to put on the site, and we always welcome any items that may be of interest to other members in the project community. Please contact communications@pmi.org.uk with anything you have to offer.
