As part of a post graduate research programme at Bond University (Australia) Craig Harvett is conducting Project Management related research internationally, with a focus on the management of risk and project complexity.
The purpose of this research is to investigate how risk is managed by Project Managers on projects, to assess the perceived effectiveness of these approaches, including prescribed industry risk management standards, and to make recommendations for the improvement of risk management approaches and processes on projects of varying complexity and especially projects of high complexity. The intent is to make a contribution to knowledge to further improve project delivery.
Ethics approval has been obtained from the university (attached for your information). The data is to be captured through a web based questionnaire.
Craig is therefore seeking participation in this research from Project Managers. The on-line questionnaire, to be completed by Project Managers, should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete and needs to be submitted by 28 September 2011.
Support from PMI Chapters in this research, by assisting in disseminating the attached information sheet and web link to members and networks, inviting Project Managers to participate will be very much appreciated (information sheet attached). All organisations/ institutions/ company's assisting in advancing this request for participation in the research to Project Managers and participants completing the questionnaire will, on completion of the research, be sent (via email) an executive summary of the research findings.
