You would have seen the recent results of the PMI board Elections which brought Kate Popay, Yohan Abrahams and Syed Shakeel to the board as new Directors, and Andy Wright and Martin Robinson elected to their posts they were co-opted to in 2011.

There were no nominations for the President and Director of Communications roles.  This was discussed at December board meeting and it was agreed that Duncan Chappell would be co-opted as President for year.  As at the time of the December board meeting at least two members had expressed an interest in becoming Director of Communications it was decided to hold a further election for this post.

The change in the Bylaws were also ratified at the time of the election, which means that the Director of Commercal Events role can now be an elected post, Kris Sharma, the current incumbent was co-opted to this role in 2011.  Hence there will be a request for nominations for this post at the same time as the Director of Communications
