President
Duncan leads the UK branch of PMI and is the first point of contact for enquiries from individuals and organisations in the UK. He leads our work to assist organisations to obtain the benefits of PMI in developing their project management competence. He is responsible overall for our strategic plan and activities within the United Kingdom to advance the global mission of PMI and to promote recognition and appreciation of the project management profession with local businesses, educational establishments and professional associations.
Past President
Chris will be carrying on with some of the initiatives started in 2011 with the PMI GOC and lending support to the new President while he settles in.
Director of Membership
Neil is responsible for developing a strong and enduring membership in the UK and promoting membership of the PMI and the Chapter to individuals and to organisations. He manages the current Chapter Membership Database in conjunction with the PMI Global Operations Centre.
Director of Administration
Andy manages the Chapter finances and budget. He oversees the development of our annual budget and monitors expenditures. He ensures the compliance of our UK Company with requirements, working with our accountants and auditors.
Director of Professional Development
The Professional Development Director is responsible for developing the awareness in UK of the PMI certification programmes, assisting individual members to obtain certification and assisting organisations to obtain the benefits of PMI towards developing project management competence. He also presents the needs that UK organisations have for certification to PMI.
Director of Marketing
Kate has recently joined the board as Director of Marketing
Director of Outreach
Nick is responsible for Chapter liaison with organisations, for responding to requests for speakers about the Chapter and PMI at PM events internal to companies and for publicising the activities of the Chapter to organisations
Director of Member Networks
Syed is responsible for developing project management professionalism by providing a quantity of stimulating, high quality programmes.
Director of Communications
Duncan is responsible for all the Chapter communications to members, including our Newsletter, monthly emails and PMI UK web site.
Director of Volunteer Co-ordination
Yohan is responsible for ensuring that volunteers to the Chapter receive a satisfactory experience as a volunteer for all PMI & PMI UK volunteer opportunities and for ensuring that the Chapter has a sufficient pool of volunteers to support the Chapter activities.
Director of Commercial Events
Responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for paid events organised or sponsored by the UK Chapter, recruit & manage teams and external organisations needed to deliver these events. Own the business case and charter for this activity.
Srikrishna Sharma ‘Kris’ has primarily been involved in a client-facing role providing advisory services to Senior Management [CxOs, EVPs, and SVPs] of Fortune 100 firms. He has successfully led and been part of large engagements on Business-IT alignment, IT Strategy & Technology Planning, Information Systems Assessment and Enterprise Architecture Consulting across a range of industries including Media & Communications, Banking, Insurance, Telecom, Public Sector, Hi-Tech and Automotive. Kris has worked in various parts of USA, Europe, Australia and Asia Pacific.
South West Programmes Committee Chair
Eric leads the committee that organises the PMI meetings in the South West and South Wales. Eric's objective for PMI South West and South Wales area is to obtain ongoing improvement, booking high quality speakers handling relative topics and hosted at interesting venues to maximise outreach to the PM community. Eric is a Solution Architect in Hewlett Packard's Outsourcing division, focusing on developing IT solutions that enhance business strategies, predominately working within the FTSE 500 companies. Eric has over 10 years experience as a Project Manager. Prior to working in the private sector in both the Netherlands and the UK, Eric served 10 years in the Dutch Royal Navy. Eric is a Project Management Professional and a Charted IT Professional.
South Programmes Committee Chair
Franco has taken over the chair for the South Programmes Committee. Franco has been associated with the PMI since 1986 and proudly holds a 3 digit PMP #. He has been an active supporter and developer of PMI activities over the years and looking forward to his new role.
London Programmes Committee Chair
Jonathon leads the committee that organizes the PMI meetings in London and hosts the London meetings. Jonathon is a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young's London IT Advisory practice, focusing on the delivery of programme advisory engagements with blue chip clients in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining Ernst & Young Jonathon worked for a global IT service provider as a Senior Project Manager. Jonathon is a certified Project Management Professional and Advanced Practitioner of Managing Successful Programmes. In his spare time Jonathon manages a local youth football team."
Midlands & North Programmes Committee Chair
Nirmal is currently working as a Project/Programme Manager with CSC. He is a Certified PMP, is heavily involved in CSCs' PMP certification programme and delivery of Project/Programme Management training courses. He has previously worked as a Senior Project Manager for EDS(now HP-EDS) and has been in the IT industry for over 15 years. He has served on the Midlands and North Committee previously.
Scotland Programmes Committee Chair
Robert is the chairperson for the Scotland Programmes Committee and is responsible for the co-ordination and organising events in Scotland.
PMI UK Chapter Support
Sandra runs the PMI UK Chapter support office providing a contact point for members, prospective members and UK organisations. This includes telephone and email enquiries about PMI and membership. Sandra supports the organizers of Chapter meetings, maintains our volunteer database, typesets the bi-monthly newsletter and provides admin support for all the Chapter Directors. Sandra also manages our daily interactions with advertisers and sponsors.
PMI UK Chapter Newsletter Editor
Irene took on the role of newsletter editor in Feb 2006 and among Irene’s roles is to review the article content of each newsletter having PMI objectives in mind. She also reviews, edits the article submissions and assesses the relevance to the project management community before publication and obtains support in terms of technical accuracy and other sensitivities through coordinating and networking with the PMI Chapter volunteers.
